The Representative Body

A Treaty. A Treaty. A Treaty for all Victorians.

The First Peoples' Assembly of Victoria has been representing First Peoples in in the state's Treaty process since it was established in 2019.

It makes sure their views and priorities are heard and respected.

It's independent. It's democratic.

Through Treaty, the Assembly will evolve into a permanent body, working alongside government to help close the gap for First Peoples.

It will lead infrastructure programs and statewide events that celebrate First Peoples culture and achievements.

And will make decisions on matters that directly affect First Peoples.

Because policies work best when the people they impact help shape them.
